  • The Georgia Latino International Film Festival is co-presented by The Georgia Latino Film Alliance and includes screenings, Q&A sessions, industry development programs and educational panels, food and music. The Festival features independent films from emerging talent that highlight a range of genres, storytelling styles and narratives from filmmakers and stories hailing from Georgia, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Cuba, Honduras, Jamaica, Colombia, Venezuela and the United States
  • Mister John’s Music, a boutique music school, serves families through its award-winning and highly-praised music education programs for babies, kids, and adults. With artists of the week such as Alicia Keys and Journey and regular features such as drag queen story time and interactive music videos, this is not your typical children’s programming. Each class is jam-packed with surprises for adults and children, with underlying messages promoting creativity, inclusivity, and kindness, all delivered through a celebration of music.

Breach of Peace is based on true accounts of surviving participants of the Freedom Riders as well as many other individuals involved in the early struggle for African-American equality.

  • The Nat King Cole/Natalie Cole Story takes you inside the life and legacy of America’s most beloved crooner. It allows you to hear up close and personal many of the beautiful songs recorded by Nat King Cole for Capitol Records. This fifteen-character production shows Nathaniel Coles as a talented young man who grows to become a revered jazz pianist and legendary singer/songwriter. This star-studded production also takes you through time and gives you a glance of Nat’s baby girl, Natalie. In this musical drama, you will also see for the first time on stage the life of Natalie Cole, Nat’s baby girl. The playwright takes us through Natalie’s life of stardom, drug abuse, disappointments, and triumphs. You will enjoy the wonderful music of Natalie Cole; music that has become the songbook of our youth. This is a family friendly production for all ages.

This production of The Importance of Being Earnest will focus solely on BIPOC artists working on the timeless script. Director Charles T. Thomas asks, “In a comedy of manners, what does it look like for minorities to relate to each other in a way that has become popularized (and almost necessary) by the white societal structures around them? Are there moments when personal reactions/feelings/responses break through? How aggressive can one be without losing status? WHY IS IT ALL A BIG DEAL?”

Using quick wit and imagination, Blacktop instantly creates funny scenes using suggestions from the crowd, and when those suggestions come from kids, you get a hilariously creative comedy show with tons of audience interaction.
